Your Supported Birth
The UN produced a report in 2011 which highlighted the importance of continuity of care in birth outcomes as well as the importance of the need for health care providers to show empathy, broach fears and beliefs with respect.
Doulas and birth partners
I will take time to explore what you as a couple wish for during the labour and birth process and it is my role to support you in a way that allows you both to participate in the arrival of your child and to nourish your bond as a couple through this process.

If your circumstances mean that I will be your sole birth partner, we will spend time to get to know each other so that I can be the physical and emotional support that you need.
I am an English and French speaking Doula, living in the Geneva region of Switzerland, close to the border with France. I was born in Ireland, gave birth to my three children in England and have been living in the area for 8 years.
I trained with Nurturing Birth including their post-qualification training on Supporting Every Birth which deals with loss. I am also associated with Doula Suisse and I work closely with other doulas in the area.

I offer a full support package that includes 2 to 4 antenatal visits, on-call service from week 38, presence for labour and birth as well as 1 to 2 postnatal visits, the total cost for which is 1,200chf.
I can help you to navigate your birth choices, explore your thoughts about birth and parenthood and support you and your partner emotionally through your birth.
My support can be tailored to your needs and you can draw on my knowledge and experience of reiki, aromatherapy and homeopathy if this feels right for you.
I will support you in preparing for the best birth possible for you and your baby.
